After years and years of covering my acne with makeup, it didn’t take long for me to master this new craft forced upon me. I have probably spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars trying to find the right foundations and concealers that wouldn’t break me out more than I already was. Trust me, I have tried everything! So many times the foundation covered so well and  looked so good, but I would get new break outs the next day and i’d be forced to throw it away. Or it wouldn’t break me out at all but it looked horrible, it would break up and I would have to do touch ups all damn day.

It already sucks to be self conscious about the breakout itself, you don’t want to have to worry about that and whether or not its covered.

Ok, now to the good stuff!

FOUNDATIONS

  • Estee Lauder Double Wear is my to die for, I will take to my grave, sell my pinky toe to pay for foundation! It will cover any monster pimple you could ever have without looking cakey! It also lasts all day long. And I mean it isn’t going anywhere until you take a makeup wipe to it! I have even worn in it the shower, slept in it multiple times and worked out with it on (I do not recommend any of these things at all but that was how self conscious I was)! But that is how good this stuff is! It also comes in 38 shades which makes it perfect for everyone! It is a little pricey though, I think in the states it sells for $36, but i’m telling you it is worth it. A little goes a long way!
  • Revlon Colorstay is wonderful if you’re on a budget! It has all of the magic powers that the Estee Lauder has from the way it looks on the skin to the longevity. Some days I would even pick it over my Double Wear! It doesn’t have as many shades as Estee Lauder but it has 27 shades which is unheard of in drugstore makeup! The only issue is it does have a kind of strong scent in the beginning but I feel like that goes away. One of my favorite things is that it is only $12.99!

 CONCEALERS

  • Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer is probably the most pigmented concealer I have ever used! This stuff saved my life on the days I woke up late and didn’t have time to do my whole, “process”. I would just put it where I needed it (basically my whole head), and go on my merry way! It also doesn’t crease at all which is really really hard to find, and comes in 16 shades. My only complaint is the price. $30?? $30 for freaking concealer! Its insane. Luckily I can get it here for $23 but still. I wont be here for ever. But if you can splurge, girl, get it!
  • Maybelline Fit Me Concealer is a drugstore concealer and what I use the most now, only because I don’t have much to cover anymore thank goodness! It is a lot thinner consistency than the Nars concealer and a little less pigmented but not by much! I love love love this stuff! No creasing and looks so healthy and natural. It only has 6 shades. The only thing I don’t like is there isn’t a good light shade for my pretty pale sisters like me. The lightest shade, “fair” is about my skin tone. lol But I make it work! It is only $6 which I feel is an appropriate price for concealer.

Hopefully if you haven’t tried these already you’ll give them a try! They really really helped me a lot to feel as beautiful as I could before Accutane. They hold a special place in my heart. lol

Let me know how they work for you and if you have any extra questions ill be happy to help, just comment below!
